Work a clinic: schedule and attendance

What it means to be attached to a gym's clinic — the schedule block, the attendance sheet, and how you're paid.

Updated August 27, 2026

Gyms run clinics — one-off, dated events with public registration. When a gym attaches you to one (or attaches all its coaches), you're part of the event: you get a text and email, the clinic appears on your dashboard calendar as a violet CLINIC block, and your private-lesson schedule is blocked for the clinic window.

Your schedule during a clinic#

  • Families can't book you for private lessons during the clinic window — those slots simply don't appear — and you can't create lessons over it either.
  • Only the gym can schedule over a clinic, and it's recorded when they do.
  • If you're detached or the clinic is unpublished or re-timed, you're notified and the block is released or moved.

Take attendance#

Open the clinic from the calendar (the Attendance → link) to see the event details and the roster. Mark each athlete Present or Absent — and, for present athletes, optionally Tardy or Left Early. Marks save automatically and sync live with everyone else running attendance, so several coaches can work the same check-in line. Use the search box to find a student fast.

What you can see
Coaches see the event details and the attendance roster — not registration payments or clinic finances. You also can't edit the clinic itself; that's the gym's side.

Getting paid#

Clinic pay isn't automatic — the gym sends it, as a flat fee or per athlete. When they do, you're texted and emailed, and it appears in your transaction history as a Clinic Payment. Being payable requires your connected Stripe account with identity verification complete.
