Accept a gym invitation
A gym invited you to coach there. Accept the invite to join their roster and start setting up.
Updated September 8, 2026
When a gym adds you as a coach, Handspring sends an invitation by text or email with a unique link. Opening it lets you join their roster.
Accept the invite#
- 1Open the invitation linkTap the link in your text or email. It shows the gym's name and details.
- 2Sign in or create an accountIf you already have a Handspring account, sign in. If not, create one — it takes a minute.
- 3Check the position, then acceptThe page shows whether the gym is inviting you as an
Exclusive coach— meaning you'd only hold private lessons at that gym on Handspring, and other gyms couldn't add you unless this gym releases you. If that's not what you agreed, ask the gym for a non-exclusive invite before accepting.

You're added to the gym's roster and land on your dashboard, where a setup checklist guides the rest.
If the link shows
Invitation Expired or Invitation Declined, ask the gym to send a fresh invite.“You're currently an exclusive coach at…”
If you're already exclusive to another gym, you can't accept a new gym's invitation yet. The invitation page names the gym that holds you and explains what needs to happen: that gym removes the exclusive tag from your employee record. The inviting gym can request this from their dashboard — and once it's approved, a fresh invitation reaches you automatically. Likewise, an
exclusive invitation can only be accepted once you've left any other gyms you coach at.What's next#
Finish your setup checklist — connect a bank account, set availability, add lesson types, and add a photo — so clients can book you.
