Pause a coach's lesson scheduling

Sometimes a coach needs to stop taking new lessons for a while — a pending certification, a performance review, an extended absence. Pausing scheduling blocks new private lessons at your gym without removing the coach or touching their history.

Pause a coach#

   Open the coach's page

   Go to Employees and open the coach.

   Click Pause Lesson Scheduling

   It's in the page header. Add an optional reason — e.g. "Pending completion of safety certification" — which the coach will see.

   Decide about upcoming lessons

   If the coach has lessons already scheduled, choose Leave them scheduled or Cancel them (which voids payment holds and notifies the parents). The pause applies immediately — it's not part of the Save button.

What a pause does#

• Families can't book the coach at your gym — your gym drops out of their public booking options, and if no gym allows booking them, their profile shows "This coach isn't scheduling lessons at this time".
• The coach can't create lessons at your gym either — attempts are blocked with your reason.
• Everyone can see the state: the coach's page and your Employees list show an amber paused banner, and the coach sees a notice on their own dashboard with your reason.
• Existing lessons are unaffected unless you chose to cancel them.
