A quick reference for the terms used across these docs.
| Term | Meaning |

| Parent / user | The account holder who books and pays for lessons. |
| Athlete | A child or student a parent books lessons for. |
| Coach | Someone who teaches lessons and gets paid for them. |
| Gym | A facility (business) that runs coaches and lessons. |
| Lesson type | A kind of lesson a coach or gym offers, with its lengths and prices. |
| Confirm | When a parent accepts a lesson and puts a card on file. |
| Close out | When a coach marks a completed lesson as done, capturing payment. |
| Hold | A reservation on a card that isn't a charge yet. |
| Capture | Actually charging a held card. |
| Fee responsibility | Who covers the platform and processing fees — coach, client, gym, or split. |
| Future / Pending / Available | The three balance buckets money passes through before payout. |
| Payout | Moving available balance to a bank account. |
| Waiver | A gym's liability agreement, signed per athlete. |
| Tip | An optional thank-you for the coach — no platform fee, though card-processing fees apply. |
| Waitlist | Where new-client inquiries wait to be claimed and scheduled. |
| Journey | A short video clip of an athlete's progress, shared by a coach. |
