How lesson requests work

Coaches book lessons for your athletes, then you confirm. Here's the flow from request to confirmed.

Updated June 4, 2026

On Handspring, the coach sets up the lesson — the day, time, type, and price — and sends it to you. You decide whether to confirm.

The flow#

  1. 1
    A coach books the lesson
Your coach schedules a lesson for one of your athletes. It arrives as a text and shows on your dashboard marked Pending.
  2. 2
You confirm and add a card
You confirm and pay. The lesson moves to Confirmed and your card is held.
  3. 3
    The lesson happens
After the session, the coach closes it out and your card is charged.
Some coaches turn on auto-approval for their existing students, so a lesson may arrive already Confirmed. You'll still get a text either way.

Don't recognize a request?#

If a request looks wrong, you can cancel it before it happens. To find or review the coach who sent it, see Find and view a coach's profile.
